Out and Free

CoCo Chanel got lucky yesterday as my son must have gone into the back room where she lives and lifted up the lid. Since he didn't close it CoCo decided to jump out of the cage and spend the night out and free. I think she quick enjoyed herself. She appears to have been well behaved and I think if anyone is looking for a house rabbit that they can leave out all the time I think this girl will make a good one. I am not sure if she is litter box trained but I think she would be really easy to do as she always goes in one place in her cage. CoCo is now back in her cage and I need to make sure my son keeps the lid closed I think I will need to have a catch on it now.

CoCo is quickly becoming a favourtie of mine and any family who gets her will be very lucky to have this cuddly and playful rabbit.

Cute as a button.

This little girl is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. Which takes a lot as you look over some of the great rabbits I have had. She is always ready to welcome you in the morning when you go in to feed her. A cuddle is always welcome and if it is followed by a run around then this is the happiest bunny around. She has been out in our family room several times and takes great fun in running and leaping about. At times my little boy as been running around with her and loving every minute of it. CoCo has been taking it all in her stride. This is a great bunny and would do well in a family environment. I have not had any issues with her.

CoCo

CoCo is a super cute little bunny. She is a great little one to cuddle but is always ready to run around and have some fun too. She has been great with my little boy coping very well with his excitement in seeing her and stroking. I have had her outside which she has loved. She runs and jumps around her pen and then settles down for a nibble. The other day I had her out in the front room which was fun to watch as she ran around and jumped around. She was also pretty easy to catch again when it came time for her to go back to her cage. If you are looking for a bunny to cuddle with and then play with this is the bunny for you. She is as soft as velvet and ready to find a place in your heart.

CoCo Chanel

A new bunny has now arrived. Jessica is still up for adoption but has had to move onto another foster home. Through no fault of her own I must say. However this means that a new bunny has arrived. CoCo Chanel is what I have always thought the rabbit in the Velveteen rabbit should be. Her fur is as soft as velvet. She has already been great around my soon and he loves giving her a stroke. I have up loaded a video of her having a run around the out door pen. If you are looking for a cute cuddly bunny then this is one you should take home.

Cooler days.

For several days the weather has been really hot and so Jessica has been confined to indoors. I have managed to let her run around the playroom but I just feel that it is not as good as spend a few hours in a larger run outside. But finally after some of the worst storms in a while the temperature has dropped enough that she can go outside in the fresh air. I have placed the run only half on the grass due to the ground being so wet but she seem to prefer at the moment at least getting her paws a little damp.

This girl is really looking for a family to take her and love her. She has been great with my two year old even as he runs and screams around the room. And she is still one of the softest rabbits I have ever had. Please consider Jessica for being a member of your family as you will not be upset with your choice

Apart from the last few days Jessica has been enjoying the sunshine a lot. I have been not able to have her out in the mornings and I think she has missed it. However today is a wonderful temperature and her run us placed under the tree for some shade and she seems to be loving being outside. I am surprised that Jessica hasn't found a home yet. She is a great rabbit to have. Due to me regularly carrying her outside to the run she has been no issues to catch at all. She has the softest coat I have ever know on a rabbit. I do hope that someone comes a long to love her. She has also been great with my two year old allowing him to stroke him and also he has been known to add extra bedding to her cage when I am not looking. She has taken everything in her strike and now just deserves a nice family for her own.

Enjoying the sun

I know it has been a while since I posted, but life has been really busy for me. I am afraid I have no new pictures at the moment but Jessica is doing really well. The weather has been so great I have been putting her out in the run. She seems to love it. I have now started putting my small pet carrier with the door open into the run when she is out and that seems to have helped her settle down into the run a lot more as she can go and hide. So she now spends a lot more time hopping around and having fun outdoors. She has got a lot better when it comes to not getting a nervous about being picked up etc. This girl just needs a forever home now and then I feel she will be very happy. I will try and get some pictures up soon of her outside.

Nice days.

Jessica has been settling into life here quite well. The other day it was really great weather and so we all went out into the garden for a bit of sun. Once Jessica had check out her pen she enjoyed a little run and a jump in the sun before settling down and eating some grass. She is still loving to chew on her toy and can be heard in the mornings having a good chew. Sometimes she seems to get a little jumpy when you first arrive but as soon as you give her a stroke she settles right down for some love. I think she would make a great rabbit for someone as she will love a cuddle and also loves to explore everywhere when given the chance.

Running around

Today I let Jessica out in the playroom with my son. She seemed to do really well. He was throwing balls about and she took everything in her stride. It did take her a couple of minutes to catch her but nothing too huge. There was no major upset she just liked being out and having fun. At times she would relax under one of the chairs and kick out her back legs. She is a bit funny if you go to stroke her from above but who can blame her. She is however always up for a little love once you have got her. I have also discovered that she loves to chew on rabbit toys. So give her some toy to chew on and she is happy. She is also a really good eater too which is great, pellets and hay seem to go down well. I am trying to decide whether I think she is the Easter bunny or the White rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Whichever one it is cute has to be included. So do you want the great bunny as you don't know what you are missing with her.

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Jessica was out and about the other day and so as well as taking some video that can be seen in the post below I also got some shots of her as she posed for the camera. As well as looking like the Easter bunny, I think that she could also try out for the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. I am sure she would get the part.

Jessica seems to be settling in quite well, she won't at the moment run into your arms for a cuddle but once you have her she is quite happy to be held and stroked for some time. She has some of the softest fur I have known on a rabbit and she is very good at keeping it clean. We are shedding at the moment so you can get a few clouds of white fluff when stroking her at the moment but I am sure once that summer coat comes through we will be better.

Jessica does seem to have a curious side to her as she is always running round checking things out before she settles down, so just make sure those sides are too high to be jumped or there is a lid in place as otherwise she may decided to not be there when you get back.

I think Jessica is a great rabbit with lots of things going for her including her amazing looks and her soft fur. You can't let this bundle of fluff go as she is a star.

Out and a about!

Jessica seemed to like it outdoors although I wouldn't leave her there in a pen without a lid on as I think she would jump out if left to think about it. She did however seem to enjoy the sun and the grass once she settled down

Introducing Jessica Rabbit

My new bunny has arrived and to me it looks like the Easter bunny has lost its way home and needs a new one. The little cutie is called Jessica Rabbit. (From the Roger Rabbit film) Jessica has the softest fur I have ever felt on a bunny. She is just a cutie. So far she is just settling in at the moment. She is good at having a cuddle but doesn't as yet feel completely relaxed about it. I have had her running about in the living room and she seems to enjoy it a lot. She is not too bad to catch and I am sure that she will improve over time. I think she is going to be a great cuddle bunny and cute is her middle name.

Hamish has left the building.

Hamish has now gone off to make his way to his new home. I am sorry to see him go but glad that he has now got a nice home with a playmate. He was a great bunny and I know that my little guy will miss him but now it is time for a new bunny.

New coat

I am sorry I have not updated this in a while but this last few weeks have been busy. Hamish however has been doing great. I had a birthday party for my son the other week and Hamish could really not have care less that about 15 two year old were running around the house. I have discovered that as long as he can get back into is corner of safety which is normally his cage in the corner of the room he is as happy as can be. I have had him running out and about and then he will just go tuck himself up in a corner and relax. I have however discovered that he is scared of cats. They seem t really freak him out. If he doesn't see them he is fine but once he catches a glimpse of my cat (who is scared of everything) he gets a little panicked. I have kept him in the playroom where he never sees the cat and he has been very content. The pictures are from when I put him outside in the nice weather. He enjoyed a sunbath. I did however keep him in his cage with the lid on as he would jump out I believe. Hamish is starting to grow his new coat through at the moment and so he has some markings on him that to me look a little like water marks. I think that they will go away when he gets his new coat but I think they look rather cute. I have to say I can't believe how great this rabbit really is and however gets him will have a star in the making.

Playtime!

Due to the fact my camera is dead and will never take another photo again I don't have any more pictures until my new camera arrives. But I can say that Hamish is still amazing. Yesterday Hamish and my son where out in the playroom and having a blast. I have a large exercise ball that my son decided he would bounce around the room. Hamish was unfazed by it all and at times ran up to the ball. The ball would bounce right past his nose and he would reach out to sniff it. When we have had friends over to play I have had him out with them and he has been great. As long as the cage area is open so that he can get back when things get a little too much he is as happy as can be. Hamish has also been so easy to put away after playtime as many times when he has had enough or got tired he will put himself back to bed. I truly cannot say enough great things about this little guy. Please find a space in your heart and home for this amazing bunny.

Hamish the Great

Hamish as completely settled into life at our house. He is eating like he has never eaten before. He is munching on his hay and pellets and his fresh stuff. Occasionally the fresh will not go straight away but it doesn't last long that is for sure. He has been so great with my little guy. I had Hamish out this afternoon with my son and the pair of them had a blast. Hamish would hop around exploring everything and run up to my son to see what he was doing. He coped like a star when my son would run around and pet him. I truly cannot say enough great things about this bunny. When Hamish got a little tired he had no issues about lying out on the floor with his legs kicked back. My son ran up to him and he didn't even move he just lay there and laped up the love. Hamish is great. He would be great if a family is looking for a bunny that can cope with kids. But he is also great for having those cuddles too. This guy has everything you could wish for.

Hamish

I managed to get my camera to have enough power to load up the pictures of Hamish. This was when he was out with my son so you can see that he is very relaxed and was not bothered by him at all as he had a wash. This guy is a complete sweetheart and I am amazed how much he is willing to interact with you. If you just want to cuddle up on the sofa then this is your guy but if you also want someone to run around the floor with and hop over and on you then this is your guy also. He would be great with a family with kids older or younger he just wants love and attention. He seems to be settling in well and has been eating like a trooper so I don't think it will be long before he is in tip top shape.

Introducing Hamish

I have a new foster bunny that I have named Hamish. He is a rex brown in colour with a white belly. He is so adorable. He has been running around with my son and was amazing with him. I then got him out this evening and he ran around climbed all over me and scent marked with his chin a few things lying around. I have to say that I named him Hamish because he is a cheeky fellow and has had a little tough start and the name Hamsih has always made me think of a cheeky guy out in the wilds of Scotland.

Hamish was thrown out just before the huge amount of snow in Maryland hit. Fortunately he was rescued otherwise he would never had made it. He is however a little under weight. His coat is also not in the best condition ever but I am sure with good food and lots of love that will soon change. Due to camera batteries dying I am unable to upload the photos I have taken so hopefully I will get them up next week.

Gone already.

IHOP has already left to travel onto his new life. He is going to be part of the program Pets on Wheeler'. He is going to be so great visiting people and giving them cuddles. IHOP is one great bunny who for the few days I had him my son loved running around with him. He got to explore lots of new places in my house and I am sure he will have lots of new things to go and do with his new life. Hopefully a new bunny will arrive this week.

He is so cute!

How anyone can not this this guy is super cute I don't know. IHOP is a star. If you want a bunny to cuddle and love till you can do it no more then this is the guy for you. IHOP took my little boy in his stride. He was totally fine with getting lots of cuddles from my little boy who I have to confess is not the most gentle at times. They even had a hop around the floor together and even when my boy was running around IHOP just carried on as normal. I had no issues collecting him back of the floor when time came for him to get back into his cage. I truly cannot say enough great things about this guy.

Do you like IHOP?

A new bunny has arrived today and his name is Ihop. This guy is a lop and totally cute and adorable. He loves have cuddles and it very friendly. My little guy was able to get in lots of cuddles with Ihop. I will try and get pictures up soon, but I wanted him to get used to being here before I got picture crazy. And I will because he is so cute and handsome.
