Nice days.

Jessica has been settling into life here quite well. The other day it was really great weather and so we all went out into the garden for a bit of sun. Once Jessica had check out her pen she enjoyed a little run and a jump in the sun before settling down and eating some grass. She is still loving to chew on her toy and can be heard in the mornings having a good chew. Sometimes she seems to get a little jumpy when you first arrive but as soon as you give her a stroke she settles right down for some love. I think she would make a great rabbit for someone as she will love a cuddle and also loves to explore everywhere when given the chance.

Running around

Today I let Jessica out in the playroom with my son. She seemed to do really well. He was throwing balls about and she took everything in her stride. It did take her a couple of minutes to catch her but nothing too huge. There was no major upset she just liked being out and having fun. At times she would relax under one of the chairs and kick out her back legs. She is a bit funny if you go to stroke her from above but who can blame her. She is however always up for a little love once you have got her. I have also discovered that she loves to chew on rabbit toys. So give her some toy to chew on and she is happy. She is also a really good eater too which is great, pellets and hay seem to go down well. I am trying to decide whether I think she is the Easter bunny or the White rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Whichever one it is cute has to be included. So do you want the great bunny as you don't know what you are missing with her.

Jessica was out and about the other day and so as well as taking some video that can be seen in the post below I also got some shots of her as she posed for the camera. As well as looking like the Easter bunny, I think that she could also try out for the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. I am sure she would get the part.

Jessica seems to be settling in quite well, she won't at the moment run into your arms for a cuddle but once you have her she is quite happy to be held and stroked for some time. She has some of the softest fur I have known on a rabbit and she is very good at keeping it clean. We are shedding at the moment so you can get a few clouds of white fluff when stroking her at the moment but I am sure once that summer coat comes through we will be better.

Jessica does seem to have a curious side to her as she is always running round checking things out before she settles down, so just make sure those sides are too high to be jumped or there is a lid in place as otherwise she may decided to not be there when you get back.

I think Jessica is a great rabbit with lots of things going for her including her amazing looks and her soft fur. You can't let this bundle of fluff go as she is a star.

Out and a about!

Jessica seemed to like it outdoors although I wouldn't leave her there in a pen without a lid on as I think she would jump out if left to think about it. She did however seem to enjoy the sun and the grass once she settled down

Introducing Jessica Rabbit

My new bunny has arrived and to me it looks like the Easter bunny has lost its way home and needs a new one. The little cutie is called Jessica Rabbit. (From the Roger Rabbit film) Jessica has the softest fur I have ever felt on a bunny. She is just a cutie. So far she is just settling in at the moment. She is good at having a cuddle but doesn't as yet feel completely relaxed about it. I have had her running about in the living room and she seems to enjoy it a lot. She is not too bad to catch and I am sure that she will improve over time. I think she is going to be a great cuddle bunny and cute is her middle name.

Hamish has left the building.

Hamish has now gone off to make his way to his new home. I am sorry to see him go but glad that he has now got a nice home with a playmate. He was a great bunny and I know that my little guy will miss him but now it is time for a new bunny.

New coat

I am sorry I have not updated this in a while but this last few weeks have been busy. Hamish however has been doing great. I had a birthday party for my son the other week and Hamish could really not have care less that about 15 two year old were running around the house. I have discovered that as long as he can get back into is corner of safety which is normally his cage in the corner of the room he is as happy as can be. I have had him running out and about and then he will just go tuck himself up in a corner and relax. I have however discovered that he is scared of cats. They seem t really freak him out. If he doesn't see them he is fine but once he catches a glimpse of my cat (who is scared of everything) he gets a little panicked. I have kept him in the playroom where he never sees the cat and he has been very content. The pictures are from when I put him outside in the nice weather. He enjoyed a sunbath. I did however keep him in his cage with the lid on as he would jump out I believe. Hamish is starting to grow his new coat through at the moment and so he has some markings on him that to me look a little like water marks. I think that they will go away when he gets his new coat but I think they look rather cute. I have to say I can't believe how great this rabbit really is and however gets him will have a star in the making.
